Transition baby, not just a cool name.

This four piece from Manchester certainly has a unique sound.

Transition baby is made up of four lads from Audenshaw/Denton, but don’t be fooled they are not your typical Denton lads they have a plan!

After forming 3 years ago, they have finally found their sound, influenced by our musical neighbours from across the pond in the US, ‘Transition baby’ has made everything their own creating great competition for the future music scene within Manchester.

Having just released their debut EP they ended up on the radar of inconspicuous, safe to say they won’t be off it any time soon either as their future is definitely one to follow.

On to the EP! Well this 4 song taster kicks off with ‘manners are wasted on you’. The old school rock sound they have embraced with this track allows for a classic foot tapping experience something new bands often lack. Not only are they bringing back the classic sound they are enhancing it and making it their own.

They then move onto what are boundaries for, well for these guys seems like they decided no reason and broke through them. The calming vocals James Cottrill (Lead vocals, Rhythm guitar) allows for easy listening, followed by Break Me which has to be one of the most uplifting songs on the EP, and have to say the scream is spine shivering, it’s so unexpected. The musical roller coaster is then ended when it gets to ‘Grit’.

So what’s so special about the EP? Well not only is it the classic rock sound enhanced as mentioned but it is in fact influenced by the genres you would not normally consider Ska, Disco, Punk making this band and its followers so diverse it is unreal.

Inconspicuous will definitely be keeping an eye and an ear out and you guys should too
All that’s left to do is to see them live, but you will have to check out their Facebook for when that will be possible.
